For BBC Three, I produced, self-shot and directed this investigation into the growing number of people travelling abroad for weight-loss surgery, examining the risks behind an increasingly popular form of medical tourism.

Filmed across the UK and Turkey, the documentary investigated patient experiences and safety concerns surrounding overseas bariatric surgery, including cases where patients had suffered serious complications or died following procedures.

The investigation was expanded across BBC News television, digital, radio and social platforms, and generated widespread national and international coverage including The Telegraph, The Independent, The Standard and The Sun.
