For BBC News and BBC iPlayer, I produced and directed this digital-first documentary following 20-year-old HIV activist Mercy Ngulube as she challenges misconceptions about living with HIV and explores why stigma has proved so difficult to shift.

Built around Mercy’s personal experience and activism, the film was designed for younger digital audiences and produced into bespoke versions for BBC social platforms including Facebook and Instagram.

Mercy’s story subsequently received wider national coverage, including features in The Mail, iNews and Wales Online.
