Previously based in the UK, Ashni now lives in Dubai, expanding her coverage to include stories across the Middle East. Her career began as a digital video journalist, where she honed her investigative skills, producing and self-shooting original stories. Building on this foundation, Ashni began integrating this digital style into produce and direct 30-minute documentary programmes aimed at 18-34-year olds.

Her documentaries have been commissioned by BBC Three, BBC News, BBC One.
Last year she became one of the youngest directors to produce and direct at BBC Panorama.
